Whatever Works

We mix genres. We keep it fun.
We do not take ourselves seriously.

Somewhere between a board meeting and a breakdown, four C-suite executives decided the world needed one more band. Not because the world asked. Not because there was a gap in the market. But because the alternative was another LinkedIn post about "leadership lessons from golf."

SHAMēFUL is built on a simple premise: these four have spent decades running companies, managing crises, and sitting through presentations about synergies. Music is their escape hatch. And now it's their opening act.

"We've all performed many times before. Just never together, never building off each other like this and never before at this octogenarian stage of our lives."
Between them, the band has released original music on Spotify, performed across corporate stages, co-conceived workshop formats that have touched 300+ organisations, and once shared a stage with India's top touring musicians. This is the first time they're doing all of it together. Which either means it's going to be spectacular or deeply educational. Possibly both.

Four executives. Zero excuses.

The Frontman
Shouvik Roy
Lead & Backing Vocals
Founder of Shouvik Roy Advisory. Former President of Ogilvy Delhi. Shouvik co-conceived Anthems for Teams in 2006 — a music-led intervention format that's part team-building, part group therapy, and entirely his fault. He has released original music on Spotify, which means at least one algorithm has heard him sing and not filed a complaint.
"I'm excited to sing — if only I can remember the lyrics. They're fast fading."
The Baritone
Narasimhan Eswar
Guitar & Vocals
CEO & MD, Whirlpool India. Manages a billion dollar appliance empire with the composure of a man who has seen everything. His voice, however, is the real product: a baritone so rich and warm it could probably sell refrigerators on its own. Nachi brings a gravitas to the mic that makes the rest of the band quietly wonder if they're even in the right genre.
"Running a company is quite exciting. But Hitting all the right harmonies during practice with the other members of Shameful scrutinising my performance at every turn — that for me is heart stopping anxiety"
The Algorithm in a Red Cap
Krishnan Chatterjee
Guitar & Vocals
Spends his days helping the best names in tech transform clients (usually with AI). Spends his nights trying to optimise his chord transitions. Krishnan has performed at multiple corporate gigs and has original music on Spotify — which is frankly the most Google thing imaginable: make something, index it, and move on. The red cap stays on. It's not a style choice. It's load-bearing.
"I've done A/B testing on guitar solos. Audiences always pick B. I play A anyway."
The Consultant Shredder
Vishal Malik
Guitar & Vocals
After two decades at McKinsey & Company and now COO for a practice at another global consulting firm, Vishal's professional super power is solving complex business problems. Turns out this extends to his music as well. Vishal approaches his vocals and guitar the way he approaches an operational transformation: ruthlessly structured, unexpectedly exciting, and always on time. A veteran of corporate gig circuits, he brings the kind of energy to a stage that usually only appears in decks titled "accelerating growth."
"I solve complex business problems for a living. The setlist is my most complex deliverable yet."
SD
The Professional
Sunny Dutta
Lead Guitar
A member of the band whose LinkedIn doesn't say "available for keynotes." Sunny plays with India's top touring bands, has released original music across Spotify, Apple Music, and everywhere else algorithms congregate, and is widely regarded as a multi-genre virtuoso who can go from Hendrix to AR Rahman between two bars without breaking a sweat. He joined SHAMēFUL. We're still not sure why. We're not asking.
"I've played with the best. And now I'm here. It's a journey."
AV
The Timekeeper
Ashwani Verma
Drums & Percussion
The man keeping the beat while four executives argue about the key. Ashwani has performed with one of India's most celebrated drummers, Ashwani has performed with acclaimed live acts and releases original music with the quiet confidence of someone who knows that without him, the whole thing falls apart. Because it would. Completely. Ashwani doesn't just hold the rhythm — he IS the rhythm. The rest of the band just happens to be standing near it.
"My job: keep them on beat. It's the hardest thing I've ever done."
AK
Also a Professional
Akhil Sindhwani
Guitars
Akhil plays with India's top bands and has original music released across all major platforms — Spotify, Apple Music, and presumably any streaming service that knows a good riff when it hears one. He's the kind of musician who makes everything sound effortless, which is a diplomatic way of saying he's covering for the rest of the band in real time.
"I was told this was a casual jam. I've been practising for three months."

A small but important clarification.

No corporate shareholders were harmed in the making of this band. All performances are conducted outside of office hours, in full compliance with board meeting schedules, quarterly earnings calls, and one very reasonable request that rehearsals end before 10pm. SHAMēFUL does not endorse the use of music as a substitute for professional therapy, though results may vary. Any resemblance to a well-rehearsed band is entirely intentional and the result of exactly enough practice to be dangerous.
